Session Outline

In this session we will be talking about the Next Generation TCP/IP stack, which is going to be introduced with Windows Vista and Windows Server 'Longhorn'. The Next Generation TCP/IP stack in Windows Vista and Windows Server 'Longhorn' is a complete redesign of TCP/IP functionality for both Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) and Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) that meets the connectivity and performance needs of today's varied networking environments and technologies. The Next Generation TCP/IP stack introduces many security, performance, and scalability improvements. These improvements will be covered in this session. After we have examined the new features and benefits of the Next Generation TCP/IP stack, we will discuss how you can prepare your network for IPv6.
