ISA Server 2004 Technical Overview
In this session, we will take an in-depth look at Internet Security and Accelerator Server 2004. ISA Server 2004 is an advanced application layer firewall, VPN, and Web cache solution that enables customers to easily maximize existing IT investments by improving network security and performance. We will cover a variety of areas within the product, starting with an architectural view and a brief foray into firewall configuration and how ISA can easily be configured into this configuration. Following the architectural overview, we will spend time looking at the way ISA filters, publishes, and protects your network. We will see the ways rules and policies work with ISA and how to create and configure them. We will also cover VPN access and server publishing before finishing up with a look at monitoring and alerts. This session covers information that is relevant to both IT pros familiar with ISA and those new to the product.
