Load SimulatorExchange 2000 Server Resource KitPublished: February 1, 2003 SummaryThe speed with which you can get work done over your network depends in part on how your server responds to mail loads. Exchange Server Load Simulator (LoadSim) is a benchmarking and deployment verification tool designed to test how a server responds to mail load. LoadSim enables you to simulate the delivery of multiple MAPI client messaging requests to a server running Exchange. After the tests are complete, you can use the results to help you to: - Verify the overall deployment plan.
- Identify bottlenecks on the server.
- Validate Exchange settings and server configurations.

Important: LoadSim is limited to MAPI users and does not take into consideration the usage of other protocols or the presence of third-party applications such as virus scanners.
This white paper provides detailed descriptions and procedural information about how you can use LoadSim2000 to perform load tests on your servers running Exchange to enhance performance and reliability.
Note: To read the white paper, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader and a widely available compression tool such as WinZip or PKZip.
