Visual Studio Tools for Office

Visual Studio Tools for Office, Version 2003 is a suite of software tools that provides developers the tools and technologies they need to build the next generation of Word and Excel based solutions for the Microsoft Office System.

This suite includes:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System 
  • Microsoft Office Access 2003 Developer Extensions 
  • Microsoft Visual Basic.NET 2003 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition

Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office offers significant enhancements compared to the previous version. New capabilities include the managed actions pane, data binding, managed controls, data population of documents on the server, data caching inside documents and seamless integration of Word and Excel 2003 with the Visual Studio toolset. Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office is currently available in Beta 2.
