Installing SQL Server from the Command Line (64-bit)

SQL Server 2000

This topic applies only to SQL Server 2000 (64-bit).

The Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 (64-bit) Setup.exe program can be run from the command line.

If the user chooses to run Setup.exe from the command line rather than by double-clicking on Setup.exe, there are several command line switches that can be specified. Note that in order to perform an unattended installation, either /qn or /qb must be specified; otherwise the complete graphical user interface will be displayed. For unattended virtual server installation /qn must be specified.
