GETUSERID (Report Builder)

Returns the ID that the user used to access the data.

Syntax

GETUSERID( )

Remarks

  • You can use this type of function for security purposes. For example, if a user is not permitted to see a report, you can prevent them for accessing the report using this function in a nested IF formula.

GETUSERID( )

When running integrated security, returns the domain name and alias of the person viewing the report in the following format: domain\alias. If you are running basic authentication, returns the alias of the person viewing the report.
