This section provides information about the tasks in the initialization checklists for Microsoft Dynamics AX. The tasks that are available in the checklists and their order vary, depending on the version of Microsoft Dynamics AX that you are setting up.

The Initialization checklist opens automatically the first time that you start the Microsoft Dynamics AX client after you have installed the AOS. You can also open it by clicking System administration > Setup > Checklists > Initialization checklist.

If you are setting up AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3, you must also complete the tasks in the Partition initialization checklist. This checklist opens automatically the first time that you start the Microsoft Dynamics AX client after you have completed the tasks in the Initialization checklist. You can also open it by clicking System administration > Setup > Checklists > Partition initialization checklist.
