Create and modify BOMs by using the BOM designer

You can use the BOM designer form to create and edit bills of materials (BOMs).

Create a BOM

  1. Click Inventory management > Common > Bills of materials.

  2. Click anywhere in the upper grid.

  3. Press CTRL+N to create a new record.

  4. Click Designer to open the BOM designer form.

  5. Create BOM lines by dragging items to the BOM's tree structure.

  6. When have finished creating the BOM, close the form to save your changes.

  7. In the BOM form, approve the BOM and create BOM versions.

  8. Close the form to save your changes.

Edit a BOM

  1. Click Inventory management > Common > Bills of materials.

  2. Select an existing BOM.

  3. Click Designer to open the BOM designer form.

  4. Select the BOM line that you want to modify, and then click Edit to open the Edit BOM line form.

  5. Modify the selected BOM.

  6. Close the form to save your changes.
