The BizTalk Server 2006 R2 Management Pack includes Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) tasks that enable you to easily transition from an alert in MOM to the appropriate BizTalk Server administration tool, as long as the BizTalk Server administration tools are installed on the MOM computer. These tasks use parameters extracted from events associated with the alert to perform queries based on the alert either in the BizTalk Server Administration console or in Health and Activity Tracking (HAT).
The BizTalk Server 2006 R2 Management Pack includes the following MOM tasks:
- Open BizTalk Server Administration Console
Although this task does not operate in the context of an alert, you can use this task to quickly open the BizTalk Server Administration console.
- Open BizTalk HAT Message Flow View
Use this task in the context of an alert related to a message-suspended event, to further troubleshoot the problem. This task enables you to open HAT Message Flow View directly from the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Operator Console with the instance information for the suspended message using a pre-built query. This task is useful if the instance is already completed. In addition, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the remote computer in order to use this task.
- Open BizTalk Operations Query View
Use this task in the context of an alert related to a message-suspended event, to further troubleshoot the problem. This task enables you to open the BizTalk Operations Query View directly from the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Operator Console with the instance information for the suspended message. In addition, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the remote computer in order to use this task.
- Start/Stop Enterprise Single Sign-On Service
Use this task to start or stop the Enterprise Single Sign-On service.
- Start/Stop IIS
Use this task to start or stop the IIS service.
- Start/Stop Rule Engine Update Service
Use this task to start or stop the Rule Engine Update Service.
