Base payroll (form)

Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers. Select an employee. On the Action Pane, click Payroll tab > Human resources tab > Pay > Base payroll.

Use this form to set up the basic elements of an employee's salary. The base payroll for each employee has the following components:

  • Payroll scale level

  • Wage group

  • Personnel category

When you select a level from the Scale level list, the Wage group and Personnel category lists are updated to include the group and category that are associated with that level.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Description

Wage group

The wage group associated with the selected scale level.

Personnel category

The personnel category associated with the selected scale level.

Scale level

Select the payroll scale level for the employee. Payroll scale levels are maintained in the Payroll scale level form.

Start date

The date when the payroll information becomes effective.
