Production pools (form)

Click Production control > Setup > Production > Production pools.

Use this form to create production pools. Use production pools to categorize production orders into groups that share common characteristics. When you create a production order, you can assign it to a specific production pool.

For example, you can create production pools for orders that are top priority or that have a particular production status. You can also assign a production pool to a default posting profile to define the method that is used to post transactions for the orders in the pool.

Additional uses for production pools

  • Group orders that are ready to be produced.

  • Group subcontracted orders that are missing deliveries.

  • Group regular productions.

  • Group orders that are missing materials.

  • Group orders that are delayed because of machine failure.

  • Group orders that are ready for release, start or scheduling.
