Project report sort fields (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Projects > Project report sort fields.

Use this form to define sorting criteria for projects.

You can define sort fields to sort and group projects, so that you can view cross-sections of projects according to values that you select. Sorting information is optional and can be added at any point, even after transactions have been registered to a project. You can define up to three sort fields.

The information that you obtain by using sort fields is for analysis only. Sort fields do not contain business logic.

Example

You can apply the sorting feature if you sell projects to customers in different parts of the world. Product line is another example of a sorting criterion.

You can select sort field values for a project in the Projects form.
