Invoice journals (form) (Project)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. On the Action Pane, on the Manage tab, in the Bill group, click Invoice journals.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Project contracts. On the Action Pane, on the Maintain tab, in the Bill group, click Invoice journals.

–or–

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Project invoices > Project invoices. On the Action Pane, in the View group, click Details.

This option is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Project invoices > Project invoice journals

This option is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Use this form to view historical information about invoicing.

Note

A tab is visible only if the invoice includes transactions of that type. For example, if the invoice does not include any hour transactions, the Hour tab is not visible in the form.

Overview

View all posted invoice proposals, the projects they are attached to, and the invoice proposal status.

On-account

View on-account transaction information for the posted invoice proposal.

Subscription

View subscription transaction information for the posted invoice proposal.

Hour

View hour transaction information for the posted invoice proposal.

Expense

View expense transaction information for the posted invoice proposal.

Item

View item transaction information for the posted invoice proposal.

Fee

View fee transaction information for the posted invoice proposal.

Button

Description

View

Open a menu with the following items:

  • Copy – Display or print a copy of the invoice.

  • Original – Display or print the invoice as it was originally prepared.

Send

Send the original or a copy of the invoice electronically.

Print

Print the selected invoice journals.

Voucher

View the voucher transactions that are attached to the selected invoice.

Totals

View totals that are related to the selected invoice. For example, cost totals, discount totals, physical weight, and volume totals. You can also view invoice and customer information in the form.

Charges

View any charges that are attached to the invoice.

Transactions

View an overview of the transactions that are attached to the invoice.

Posted sales tax

View any posted sales-tax transactions for the invoice.

Commission

View the commission transactions that are generated by the invoice.

Functions

Create a credit note for the full invoiced amount.

Dimensions display (Item tab)

Open the Dimensions display form to select the dimensions that you want to add to the view on the Item tab.

Project contract ID

The project contracts in the journal.

Invoice type

The invoice type for the projects that are listed.

Invoice

The invoices for the projects that are listed.

Invoice date

The invoice date for the projects that are listed.

Voucher

The voucher for the projects that are listed.

Invoice proposal

The invoice proposal for the projects that are listed.

Sales currency

The sales currency for the projects that are listed.

Invoice amount

The invoice amounts for the projects that are listed.

Payment ID

The identification number of the payment transaction.

Project date

The project transaction date.

Project ID

The project that the transaction is attached to.

Description

A brief description of the transaction.

Line amount

The amount of the transaction in the accounting currency.

Transaction ID

The identification number of the transaction.

Category

The category that the transaction is attached to.

Service subscription

The identifier of the service subscription.

Start date

The start date of the subscription.

End date

The end date of the subscription.

Base price

The base price of the subscription.

Index

The index that is used for calculating the indexed sales price.

Activity number

The identification number of the activity that is associated with the transaction.

Worker

The worker who is associated with the transaction.

Hours

The number of hours in the transaction.

Sales price

The sales price cost for the transaction.

Quantity

The quantity or amount of units that are used in the transaction.

Item number

The identification number of the item that is associated with the transaction.

Unit price

The unit price of the item.

Sales order

The sales order identification number of the item.

Line-specific

If this check box is selected, the dimension account for electronic invoicing is specified for each invoice line.

If this check box is cleared, the dimension account that is specified in the invoice header is applied to all invoice lines.

Note

(DNK) This control is available when the legal entity’s primary address is in Denmark and if information is entered in the EAN field in the Customers form for the customer account that is associated with the invoice.

Dimension account

The dimension account for the invoice header. This account is used for electronic invoicing of public sector organizations.
