To improve consistency and make the SDK easier to learn, some methods available in earlier versions have been mapped to a small set of common methods.

The following table shows the mapping of methods.

Use the SetState messages

Exceptions - The following state setting messages are still supported:

RetrieveSub<Object> Use RetrieveMultiple
UpdateAndRetrieve Use Update followed by Retrieve.

Post Callouts

The implementation of post-callouts is fully functional but is deprecated in Microsoft CRM 3.0. Existing post-callouts are not upgraded upon installation. In addition, your callouts will be disabled during the upgrade process. Information on enabling your version 1.2 callouts can be found in the Microsoft CRM Version 1.2 SDK, located at msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/CrmSdk1_2/htm/v1d2registeringyourcallouts.asp.
