Install or uninstall Pocket Streets

To install Pocket Streets

Note  If Microsoft ActiveSync was detected on your desktop computer during the MapPoint installation, you were given the option to install Pocket Streets. If you accepted the Install Pocket Streets option and your Pocket PC was not connected to your desktop PC at the time, ActiveSync will automatically continue the Pocket Streets installation when you next connect your Pocket PC.

You only need to install Pocket Streets in the following circumstances:

You did not install Pocket Streets when you installed MapPoint

You installed Microsoft ActiveSync on your desktop PC after you installed MapPoint

A previous installation of Pocket Streets was interrupted

  1. Make sure your Pocket PC is connected to your desktop computer and that you have Microsoft ActiveSync installed on your desktop computer.
  2. On your desktop computer, place the MapPoint Setup disc in the disc drive.
  3. Open the disc drive folder, and then double-click the Pstreets folder.
  4. Double-click Setup.exe, and then follow the online instructions.

To uninstall Pocket Streets

Note  Before uninstalling Pocket Streets, you may want to remove unwanted map or Pushpin files from your Pocket PC.

  1. Connect your Pocket PC to your desktop computer.

  2. On your desktop computer, double-click the Microsoft ActiveSync icon, and then click Add/Remove Programs on the Tools menu.

  3. Select Microsoft Pocket Streets, and then click Remove.

    Pocket Streets is removed from your Pocket PC and your desktop PC.
