Each organization defines what it expects from an Exchange administrator. However, Exchange administrators need to perform certain common tasks with regard to user and inetOrgPerson objects. For example:

  • Mailbox-enabling user or inetOrgPerson objects

  • Moving mailboxes

  • Mailbox-disabling user or inetOrgPerson objects

  • Mail-enabling user or inetOrgPerson objects

  • Mail-disabling user or inetOrgPerson objects

  • Removing Exchange attributes

Administrators can perform these tasks by using the Exchange Tasks Wizard in the Exchange-enabled Active Directory Users and Computers MMC snap-in.
