How to Change the Default File Path of the Offline Address Book Files

To change the default file path used by Outlook to store the offline address book files, perform the following procedure.

Procedure

To change the default file path of the offline address book files

  1. From the client computer, close Outlook and create the appropriate file path (for example, D:\OAB).

  2. From the client computer running Outlook, start Registry Editor.

  3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\<Default Microsoft Outlook Profile>\13dbb0c8aa05101a9bb000aa002fc45a

  4. Add a new string value:

    Parameter: 001e660e

    Value:<path of offline address book files>

    Type: String Value

    For example:

    Parameter: 001e660e

    Value: D:\OAB

    Type: String Value
