Removing Exchange Attributes on Contact Objects

Topic Last Modified: 2005-04-20

In Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Exchange 2000 Server and later, administrators can use the Remove Exchange Attributes task to remove Exchange attributes from contact objects. Use this option with caution because it forcibly removes all Exchange-related attributes from the object.

To remove all Exchange attributes on a contact object, the Exchange Administrator must have the Exchange delegated role, Exchange View-Only Administrator (or higher) on the target administrative group. In addition, the Exchange Administrator must have Read and Write access to the following contact object attributes:

  • adminDisplayName
  • altRecipient
  • authOrig
  • autoReplyMessage (ILS Settings)
  • delivContLength
  • deliverAndRedirect
  • deliveryMechanism
