Managing the AD RMS Prelicensing Agent

The Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) agent provides better functionality in letting Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and Microsoft Outlook users access rights-protected messages.
By default, the AD RMS Prelicensing agent is installed on Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Hub Transport servers.. You must be running Exchange 2010 on all Hub Transport servers in your organization to enable the AD RMS functionality in Exchange 2010.
The AD RMS server must be upgraded to RMS Server on Windows Server 2003 SP2, or Active Directory Rights Management Services on Windows Server 2008 – X64 must be installed on AD RMS servers that issue licenses.
The AD RMS Prelicensing agent is enabled by default and does not require additional configuration on either the Exchange server or the AD RMS server.
