Microsoft® Exchange Server 2007 setup cannot continue because Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Common Files are not installed on this server.

Microsoft Exchange Management Shell may require remote IIS Metabase access. The metabase is a repository for most IIS configuration values. Remote access to the metabase requires that the appropriate COM+ DLLs be installed on the local computer.

To resolve this issue, install the IIS Common Files on this server and then rerun Exchange 2007 setup.

  1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel.

  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
