Non-standard address space found

[This topic is intended to address a specific issue called out by the Exchange Server Analyzer Tool. You should apply it only to systems that have had the Exchange Server Analyzer Tool run against them and are experiencing that specific issue. The Exchange Server Analyzer Tool, available as a free download, remotely collects configuration data from each server in the topology and automatically analyzes the data. The resulting report details important configuration issues, potential problems, and nondefault product settings. By following these recommendations, you can achieve better performance, scalability, reliability, and uptime. The Microsoft Exchange Server Analyzer Tool displays this warning if it determines that there is a non-standard address space on one or more recipient policies.

A non-standard, or proxy, address space is the address by which an Exchange Server recipient object is recognized in a foreign messaging system.

In earlier versions of Exchange Server, support for non-standard address spaces was the responsibility of the Recipient Update Service.

In Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010, the Recipient Update Service is not implemented. It is the responsibility of the Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 administrative consoles to generate proxy addresses.

The administrative consoles must have a proxy-generator DLL loaded for each non-standard address space detected.

importantImportant:
If the administrative console runs on a 64-bit computer, a 64-bit version of the proxy-generator DLL is required.

To address this warning, contact the vendor that supports the foreign address space to obtain the proxy-generator DLL that is compatible with Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010.
