Server Configuration > Client Access > Outlook Web Access > Remote File Servers Tab

Applies to: Exchange Server 2007 SP3, Exchange Server 2007 SP2, Exchange Server 2007 SP1

Use the Remote File Servers tab to specify remote file server access. Outlook Web Access accesses only internal Windows file share and Windows SharePoint Services document libraries. A file name can also be specified by using a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) that is internal or that is included in the list of sites that are to be treated as internal.

Outlook Web Access uses a simple set of criteria to determine whether an address is internal or external. If there are no dots in a URL that a user clicks, it is treated as internal. If there are one or more dots in the URL, it is treated as internal only if the domain suffix has been added to the list of sites to be treated as internal.

Note

When you add host names to the Block and Allow lists, you must enter a server name. Entering a Windows file share name will not work.
