Get-IPAllowListConfig

Use the Get-IPAllowListConfig cmdlet to view the configuration information for the IP Allow list configuration on the computer that has the Edge Transport server role or the Hub Transport server role installed.


Get-IPAllowListConfig [-DomainController <Fqdn>]

The IP Allow list configuration is used by the Connection Filter agent. The Connection Filter agent relies on the IP address of the remote server that is trying to connect to determine what action, if any, to take on an incoming message. The remote IP address is available to the Connection Filter agent as a by-product of the underlying TCP/IP connection that is required for the SMTP session.

To run the Get-IPAllowListConfig cmdlet, the account you use must be delegated the following:

  • Exchange View-Only Administrators role

To run the Get-IPAllowListConfig cmdlet on a computer that has the Edge Transport server role installed, you must log on by using an account that is a member of the local Administrators group on that computer.

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

To specify the fully qualified domain name of the domain controller that retrieves data from Active Directory directory service, include the DomainController parameter in the command. The DomainController parameter is not supported on computers that have the Edge Transport server role installed. The Edge Transport server role writes only to the local ADAM instance.
