Get-TransportConfig

Use the Get-TransportConfig cmdlet to view organization-wide e-mail transport configuration settings on computers that have the Hub Transport server role or the Edge Transport server role installed.


Get-TransportConfig [-Identity <OrganizationIdParameter>] [-DomainController <Fqdn>]

DomainController

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Fqdn

The DomainController parameter specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the domain controller that retrieves data from Active Directory. The DomainController parameter isn't supported on the Edge Transport server role. The Edge Transport server role reads only from the Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) instance.

Identity

Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.OrganizationIdParameter

The Identity parameter is reserved for internal Microsoft use.

The Get-TransportConfig cmdlet displays configuration information for global transport settings applied across the Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 organization when the cmdlet is run on a Hub Transport server. When this cmdlet is run on an Edge Transport server, only the transportation configuration settings for the local computer are shown.

You need to be assigned permissions before you can run this cmdlet. Although all parameters for this cmdlet are listed in this topic, you may not have access to some parameters if they're not included in the permissions assigned to you. To see what permissions you need, see the "Transport configuration" entry in the Transport Permissions topic.

This example lists the Exchange organization-wide e-mail transportation settings on a Hub Transport server, or the local transportation settings on an Edge Transport server.

Get-TransportConfig

This example lists all delivery status notification-related (DSN) configuration settings for your organization when run on a Hub Transport server. When run on an Edge Transport server, it displays the DSN-related settings configured on that Edge Transport server.

Get-TransportConfig | Format-List *DSN*
