How to Set the Per-User Recipient Limit

This topic explains how to set the per-user Recipient Limit.

Before You Begin

When you modify the per-user Recipient Limit value, the new value takes effect when the user logs on the next time. By default, the global Recipient Limit is set to 5,000 and the per-user Recipient Limit is set to use the global Recipient Limit.

Either at the console or through a terminal session, log on using an account that is a member of both of the following:

  • The Administrators group on the local computer.

  • A group to which at least the Exchange Administrators role has been applied at the Organizational level.

Procedure

To set the per-user Recipient Limit

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click Active Directory Users and Computers.

  2. Click the user whose settings you want to change, and then click Properties.

  3. Click the Exchange General tab, and then click Delivery Options.

  4. Under Recipient Limits, click Maximum, and then enter the new value.
