How to Include All Public Folders When a Folder Is Requested on an IMAP4 Virtual Server
Unlike POP3, which allows clients to access only mail messages, IMAP4 clients have access to folders other than the Inbox folder. However, this ability to access other folders must be enabled on the virtual server. You select these settings on the General tab in the Default IMAP4 Virtual Server Properties dialog box.
Procedure
To include all public folders when a folder is requested on an IMAP4 virtual server
In Exchange System Manager, navigate to the IMAP4 virtual server that you want to configure.
In the console tree, right-click a virtual server, and then click Properties.
On the General tab, configure the options you want:
Click Include all public folders when a folder list is requested to allow IMPA4 clients to access folders other than the Inbox folder.
Click Enable fast message retrieval to improve performance.
