When using the 'Advanced Find' function to search this Mailbox for either a word in the subject or email address etc it is not allowing this to happen and gives the following error message.
"There are too many Find Public Folders dialogs open. You must close them to use the Advanced Find. Do you want to close them now?"

We have migrated all of our users over to an Exchange 2010 environment, but kept a 2003 server around for legacy restores. Today I received a couple of requests to restore emails from the old 2003 environment. I have recovered the database, and see the information that I am looking for, but I am unable to pull the information from the Recovery Storage Group. I keep getting an error when using ExMerge pointing to the fact that the user is no longer on the mailbox database where the backup was taken from. Is there a way to pull the user's mailbox from the RSG database to a PST without have to either move the user back to the old server or use ExMerge?

Hello,
Please help me to clarify that my company's setup is having Message labs (first layer of security) for anti virus and anti spam filtring and for content filtering we have Unix server (clearswift) in DMZ.
We are about to decommission the clearswift servers and have to place a server which forwards incomming mail from message labs to Frontend servers in site, please advice that shall we place Exchange server in DMZ or else what is the alternate server (native Microsoft) need to be placed in DMZ, please advice.

I go to Server Manager - Users - Exchange Advanced tab and then Mailbox Rights. I scroll down and "Users" have Full Mailbox Access. The checkmark is greyed out and if i hit advanced, it tells me I can't change it and I can't, as "This permission is inherited from the parent object". I really want to uncheck this box, but I don't know what the parent object is.
Help?

Hello -
I have e-mails from users leaving our company redirected to a account we created.
This account then replies to the original sender stating, "Use is no longer with company ... blah, blah, blah"
In the body of the e-mail is the user who left old e-mail's information so should the e-mail be sent in a broadcast from the higher ups or in a company wide e-mail the sender knows to remove that user from their distribution list.
My question and showing of limited knowledge in this arena is how do I trigger this VBA module once it recieved by the account from the user who left the company?
Example: User A leaves
User B sends a msg to User A
User C (is set up for all replies to be redirected to by users who have left the
company).
User C would then send to User B a msg that User A no longer is with the company.
The body of the msg is set in a script, as a OOF msg does not have the ability to capture the User A e-mail address once it is sent or redirected to User C for properly to replying to User B.
Any assistance on this is needed as soon as possible and as quickly as possible.

I use a CISCO 5500 firewall and they use a Watchguard x700.
I use Windows Server 2003 with Active Directory and they use Small Business Server 2003.
We only have this problem with each other.
We have both had network consultants look at the issue and all we can get is that it might be a DNS issue or since nothing has been found to be wrong on either network, that it must be the other network's fault.
I really need to resolve this because the mayor is blaming me since the police department has told her that it must my network that is blocking all of the email.
PLEASE HELP!!!

I have an strange issue that I need help in. Last my company started experiencing blockage of emails on our mail server. We have looked at everything from external causes to malfunctioning settings and configurations and have not come up with anything solid. Here is the problem...
- Can send internally okay.
- Can receive externally okay.
- Cannot send externally with out getting a postmaster delay message a few moments later.
We are going to try and use TrendMicro to scan individual email accounts to see if there is anything that Antigen is not catching. We are also ensuring all computers and servers are running the latest service pack and security patches. As of today, we have yet to be added to any blacklists, but fear it might be going to that soon.
Has anyone run into this issue. If so, how did you resolve it?

We are running Exchange Server 2003 and have recently purchased 4 blackberry phones, we are unable to configure them to receive emails via our Exchange Server. I know that there are options to purchase software from Blackberry, but our mobile phone provider seems to think that this is uneccessary as they have the same type of Exchange Server that we have and they can configure their phones without any issues.
I was advised to check with our broadband provider (BT) by Blackberry to esnure that mail relay permissions were setup, I have done this and they were already set up. I have also heard that Exchange has its own DirectPush for emails, would this be the solution?
Any help would be appreciated.
This is also happening when an email is sent to a distribution list. Some members get the attachment without any issue while rest get Winmail.dat as attachment. Sender is sending using HTML format and recipients being internal and oulook clients can receive Rich text Format.

I have a interesting issue that has me a bit stumped at the moment and was wondering if anyone can help.
We currently have an active user on our exchange 2003 server with a active mailbox which is working fine, now i have been asked to recover his mailbox from about a month ago, which is all possible with the RSG and i have dumped the database onto a server from tapes fine, the issue is that hr do not want this user to know nor do they want to merge the mailboxes together, in essence attaching it to a new account and accessing and I was wondering if this is possible as all the security info is still active and how will this affect the user account and the best way around it ?
Thanks for any help on this issue.
