Address Rewriting Agent Cmdlets

This section provides information that will help you manage the Address Rewriting agent in Microsoft Exchange 2010 by using commands in the Exchange Management Shell.

You can use address rewriting to present a consistent appearance to external recipients of messages from your Exchange 2010 organization. Address rewriting can be valuable if your organization uses third-party vendors to provide support or other e-mail based services. Your customers and partners expect e-mail to come from your organization, not from unfamiliar third-party vendors. The address rewriting feature provides organizations the flexibility to structure their businesses based on business requirements, instead of technical requirements or limitations.

The following Exchange Management Shell commands let you modify the configuration settings of the Address Rewriting agent:

• Get-AddressRewriteEntry
• New-AddressRewriteEntry
• Set-AddressRewriteEntry
• Remove-AddressRewriteEntry
