How to Deploy the Sequence Number for the Offline Address Book Data Created on the Test Computer

 

Use this procedure to deploy the sequence number for the offline address book data created on the test computer.

Before You Begin

Warning

Incorrectly editing the registry can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Problems resulting from editing the registry incorrectly may not be able to be resolved. Before editing the registry, back up any valuable data.

Procedure

To deploy the sequence number for the offline address book data created on the test computer

  1. On the staging computer, open a registry editor, such as Regedit.exe or Regedt32.exe.

  2. Navigate to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\ Profiles\<ProfileName>\13dbb0c8aa05101a9bb000aa002fc45a\0003667d.
    In this registry key, <ProfileName> is the name of the Outlook profile you created on the staging computer.

  3. Examine the value for 0003667d.

  4. Log on to the Outlook client computer as the intended user and open a registry editor.

  5. Navigate to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\ Profiles\<ProfileName>\13dbb0c8aa05101a9bb000aa002fc45a.

  6. In the right pane, double-click the 0003667d value.

  7. Modify the contents so that it matches the value on the staging computer.
