How to Start the Backup Utility

This topic explains how to start the Backup utility in Windows Server 2003.

Before You Begin

When you start Backup for the first time, the Backup or Restore Wizard will open. However, some backup features are not available in the Backup or Restore Wizard. Therefore, it is recommended that you use Advanced Mode. For detailed instructions, see How to Switch Backup to Advanced Mode.

Procedure

To Start Backup

  • Click Start, click Run, type NTBackup, and then click OK.

    This process opens the Backup or Restore Wizard.
