How to Verify That a Certificate Has Been Installed

 

This topic explains how to verify that a digital certificate has been installed for the purposes of setting up a PKI/Exchange test environment.

The computer account and domain names used in this procedure are based on the test environment described in Implementing an Exchange 2003-Based Message Security System in a Test Environment.

Before You Begin

At the console, log on to CONT-WK01 as a member of the Domain Users group.

Procedure

To verify that the certificate has been installed

  1. Click Start, click Run, type certmgr.msc, and then click OK.

  2. In MMC, expand Certificates - Current User, and then expand Personal.

  3. In the right pane, you should see the certificate you just installed. Double-click the certificate. The following figure shows the certificate.
