How to Enable Full-Text Indexing Queries

After the initial population and at least one incremental population are complete, you must enable the use of the index so that users can begin conducting full-text searches against the index. To enable queries, perform the following procedure.

Before You Begin

Verify that the initial population and at least one incremental population are complete.

Procedure

To enable the use of the index

  1. In Exchange System Manager, right-click the mailbox store or public folder store that you want to enable, and then click Properties.

  2. Click Full-Text Indexing, and then select the This index is currently available for searching by clients check box.
