The Exchange store was restored from an offline backup. In the Microsoft Exchange Management Console, indicate that the database is allowed to be restored, so that it can be patched.

This Error event indicates that the store detected an offline backup that needs to be patched. However, the This database can be overwritten by a restore option was not checked. If the option This database can be overwritten by a restore is checked, the store process automatically patches the offline database and mounts it. It also logs an event 9524 indicating that the database was successfully patched.

To resolve this error, you must configure the database so that it can be overwritten. To do this, run the following Exchange Management Shell command:

Set-MailboxDatabase <restored_database> -AllowFileRestore $true.

They can also help you identify and resolve performance issues, improve mail flow, and better manage disaster recovery scenarios. Go to the Toolbox node of the Exchange Management Console to run these tools now. For more information about these tools, see Toolbox in the Exchange Server 2007 Help.
