Explanation

The cmdlet that triggered this event is the Test-OwaConnectivity cmdlet. The Test-OwaConnectivity cmdlet can be used to test the connectivity of all Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access virtual directories on a computer that is running Exchange 2007 that has the Client Access server role installed. It can also be used to test the connectivity of a single Exchange 2007 Outlook Web Access URL.

This alert indicates that the mailbox for which you are trying to obtain user information is inaccessible. This alert may be caused by network connectivity issues.

User Action

To resolve this alert, do one or more of the following:

  • Review Operations Manager for detailed information about the cause of this alert. For more information, see the introduction of this article.

  • Make sure that the Exchange server that logged this event can connect to the computer that is running Exchange 2007 that has the Mailbox server role installed. For example, use the Ping or PathPing command-line tools to test basic connectivity. Use Ping to isolate network hardware problems and incompatible configurations. Use PathPing to detect packet loss over multiple-hop trips. For more information, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 325487, How to troubleshoot network connectivity problems.

  • In Event Viewer, review the Application logs on your Client Access and Mailbox servers for events that may be associated with this alert. Use that information to determine the cause of the problem.
