The Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Management Pack for Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers that are running Exchange Server 2007 and generates this alert when the event or events specified in the following Details table are logged.

  • From the Operator Console, select this alert, and then click the Properties tab. Review the description of the alert that includes the variables specific to your environment.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that an error occurred while accessing the database listed in the error test. This message may be caused by a disk space error, which may in turn be caused by an Extensible Storage Engine (ESE) error.

User Action

To resolve this error, check the drives where the Exchange database transaction log files and databases are located. Verify that there is adequate space available. Also, verify that the disks are healthy. If that approach does solve the error, try one or more of the following:

  • Review the Application log for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this event.
