Failed to connect to Domain Controller

The Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) monitors the Windows Application log on computers that are running Exchange Server 2007 and generates this alert when the event or events specified in the following Details table are logged.
To learn more about this event, do one or more of the following:
Review the description of the event that includes the variables specific to your environment. From the MOM Operator Console, select this alert, and then click the Properties tab.
Review all events that have been logged that meet the criteria of this MOM alert. From the MOM Operator Console, click the Events tab, and then double-click the event in the list for which you want to review the event description.

Explanation
This Warning event indicates that Microsoft® Exchange Active Directory Provider could not connect to the domain controller specified in the event description. This event may occur if one or both of the following conditions are true:
The host record that maps the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the specified domain controller to its IP address is missing or contains an incorrect address.
The specified domain controller is not working or not reachable on the network.
User Action
To resolve this warning, perform the following steps:
Use Ping or PathPing command-line tools to test basic connectivity. Use Ping to isolate network hardware problems and incompatible configurations. Make sure that the domain controller specified in the event description is registered correctly on the DNS server. For more information, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:
