The Microsoft® Exchange Database Troubleshooter Tool detected one or more MSExchangeIS 9519 events with error code 0x3f3 in the Application log. This error indicates that a restore was performed on a database without the "This database can be overwritten by a restore" check box being selected.

This event occurs when a database restore operation has taken place, and Exchange detects that the “This database can be overwritten by a restore” checkbox on the properties of the store has not been checked.

To resolve this issue, ensure that the database can be overwritten by a restore by performing the following actions.

  3. Expand Servers, expand <Server Name>, expand <Storage Group>, and then click the database that was restored.

  4. Right-click the database, and then click Properties.

  5. Click the Database tab.

  6. Click to select the This database can be overwritten by a restore check box.

  7. Click OK.

  8. To mount the database, right-click the database, and then click Mount Store.

To enable the option on Exchange Server 2007
  1. Start the Exchange Management Console

  2. Under Server Configuration, select Mailbox

  3. In the Database Management pane, right-click the database that was restored.

  4. Click Properties

  5. Select the General tab

  6. Click to select the This database can be overwritten by a restore check box.

  7. Click OK.

  8. To mount the database, right-click the database, and then click Mount Database.
