Explanation

This error occurs when a path to a dependent item in a report cannot be resolved. Dependent items include shared data sources, report models, and subreports. A report that uses one or more of these dependent items will include URLs that provide location information for each one.

Requirements for constructing the URL vary depending on whether the report server is configured for SharePoint integration or runs in native mode.

Items that are located on a SharePoint site must be referenced by using a fully qualified path. Items that stored in a report server database can use relative URLs.

If you publish a report or report model that contains relative URLs to a SharePoint site that requires fully qualified URLs, you will encounter this error.

User Action

Open the report or model in the authoring tool you are using and edit the URLs. Save the file, and then retry the publish operation.
