ToolStripItem.IDropTarget.OnDragEnter Method

Raises the DragEnter event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Forms
Assembly:  System.Windows.Forms (in System.Windows.Forms.dll)

void IDropTarget.OnDragEnter(
	DragEventArgs dragEvent
)

Parameters

dragEvent
Type: System.Windows.Forms.DragEventArgs

A DragEventArgs that contains the event data.

Implements

IDropTarget.OnDragEnter(DragEventArgs)

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.

The IDropTarget.OnDragEnter method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding IDropTarget.OnDragEnter in a derived class, be sure to call the base class’s IDropTarget.OnDragEnter method so that registered delegates receive the event.
