In Operations Manager 2007, after a notification is configured by an administrator, users that have the Operator user role can subscribe to the notification.
To subscribe to a notification

Log on to the computer with an account that is a member of the Operations Manager Administrators role for the Operations Manager 2007 Management Group.

In the Operations Console, expand the Tools menu, and then click My Recipient Information.

When you run the Operations Console on a computer that is not a Management Server, the Connect To Server dialog box displays. In the Server name text box, type the name of the Operations Manager 2007 Management Server that you want the Operations Console to connect to.

If you want to create a schedule to control when you receive notifications you receive subscription click Only send notification during specified times and configure a date range. Otherwise click Next.

Click the Notification Devices tab.

Click Add to start the Create Notification Device Wizard.

Click E-mail in the notification channel section.

Type an e-mail address. For example, type e-mail@contoso.com.

Click Schedule, leave the default settings, and then click Next.

Type a name in the Notification device name box.

Click Finish, and then click OK.
