How to Use Advanced Search to Find Objects in Essentials

Use the following procedure to perform an advanced search for objects in System Center Essentials 2010.

To use advanced search to discover objects

  1. In the Essentials console, click the Search arrow, and then click Advanced Search.

  2. In the Search for specific object types list, click the object type you are searching for.

  3. Select one or more conditions for the search object.

  4. Click Save parameters to My Favorites to save the search criteria.

  5. Under Criteria description, click the underlined terms to define your search criteria, and then click OK.

  6. Click Save parameters to My Favorites to save the search criteria.

  7. Click Search.
