System Center Essentials Connect to Server Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to connect the Essentials 2007 console to a registered Management Server.

This dialog box contains the following elements.

  • Recent Connections
    Displays a list of Management Servers that you have previously connected to using the Essentials 2007 console. This element contains the following items:

    • Server Name: Displays the computer name of the server.

    • Management Group: Displays the name of the Management Group that the server belongs to.

  • Registered Servers
    Displays a list of Management Servers that are registered in Active Directory Domain Services. This element contains the following items:

    • Server Name: Displays the fully qualified domain name of the server.

    • Management Group: Displays the name of the Management Group that the server belongs to.

  • Server name
    Displays the name of the server to connect to.
  • Connect
    Connects to the server specified in Server name.
  • Cancel
    Closes this dialog box without connecting to a server.
