How to Back Up a Secondary Site

Updated: October 1, 2009

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Although there is a task to create a backup of a Configuration Manager 2007 secondary site, you cannot restore this backup by using the Site Repair Wizard. Instead, you must reinstall the secondary site. The primary site will replicate secondary site data to the reinstalled secondary site.

For more information about installing secondary sites, see How to Install a Secondary Site.
