How to Collect Files from Clients

You must have Modify permission for the Site security object class or instance to perform this procedure.

To collect files from clients

  1. In the Configuration Manager console navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Site Management / <site code> - <site name> / Site Settings / Client Agents.

  2. In the results pane, right-click Software Inventory Client Agent, and then click Properties.

  3. Right-click Software Inventory Client Agent, and then click Properties.

  4. In the Software Inventory Client Agent Properties dialog box, click the General tab, and enable and schedule software inventory.

  5. Click the File Collection tab, and specify files to be collected from clients during software inventory.
