How to Delete a Software Metering Rule

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

When you delete a software metering rule in Configuration Manager 2007, the change in rules will be downloaded to client computers according to the Policy Polling Interval in the Computer Client Agent Properties dialog box (by default, every 60 minutes).

The following procedure provides the steps necessary to delete a software metering rule.

To delete a software metering rule:

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Metering.

  2. Right-click a software metering rule, and then click Delete.

  3. In the Confirm Object Delete dialog box, click Yes to confirm you want to delete this software metering rule.
