Topology and Client-only Network Discovery

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

When the Network Discovery method is used in Configuration Manager 2007, and the Topology and Client option is selected, routers, subnets, and potential clients are discovered and stored in the Configuration Manager site database.

The following diagram shows what this type of Network Discovery finds when it runs on Server 1 with 0 router hops specified: subnet D and Router 1, and all potential clients on subnet D.
