Windows Authentication, previously called integrated security, is the minimum administration overhead option for Microsoft SQL Server. This type of security maps the Configuration Manager 2007 primary site server's machine account to the SQL Server database, and it passes the Configuration Manager 2007 primary site server's machine account to SQL Server for validation and data access.
