After software updates have been synchronized in Configuration Manager 2007, they are displayed in the Configuration Manager console in several locations. The following procedures provide information about each location where the software updates are displayed in the console.
To display software updates on the Software Updates home page

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Updates.

The software updates that meet the Vendor, Update Classification, and Month and year criteria are displayed.
To display software updates under the Update Repository console tree node

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Updates / Update Repository.

Use the following subtree nodes to display software updates:

Navigate to Update Repository / Search Folders / <search folder name> to display the software updates that meet the search criteria. For more information, see How to Configure Search Folders for Software Updates.

Navigate to Update Repository / <classification name> / All Updates to display all updates for the specified classification.

Navigate to Update Repository / <classification name> / <vendor name> / All Updates to display all updates for a specific classification and vendor.

Navigate to Update Repository / <classification name> / <vendor name> / <product name> to display all updates for a specific classification, vendor, and product.
To display software updates in an update list

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Updates / Update Lists / <update list name>.

The software updates in the updates list are displayed.
To display software updates in a deployment

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Updates / Deployment Management / <deployment name> / Software Updates.

The software updates in the deployment are displayed.
To display software updates in deployment packages

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System CenterConfiguration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Updates / Deployment Packages / <deployment package name> / Software Updates.

The software updates hosted by the deployment package are displayed.
