How To Run a Program After Downloading

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

If you do not choose to run the program automatically after downloading, the Program Ready to Run dialog box opens when a program download is complete, depending on the type of program you have downloaded.

If you do not start the downloaded program within a certain period of time specified by your system administrator, other programs waiting to run might be started, and you will need to wait until they are complete. If you do not expect to be present when the download finishes and the program is ready to run or install, see How To Run a Program Automatically.

To start the downloaded program

  • If the files are for copying and setting up a program on your computer, the Program Ready to Run title is shown. Click Run to start the downloaded program.
