Component Logging Control Dialog Box

Applies To: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

Use this Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 dialog box to enable logging for a component.

Logging enabled

Use to enable or disable logging.

Use same file for all selected components

This option is only available if multiple components are selected. Use this option to allow all selected components to log to the same file specified in Log filename.

Log filename

Path and file name that are used to specify where the log file is written.

Log size

Maximum size of the log file. When a log file grows larger than the specified value, older logging information is copied to a backup file in the same folder such as filename.lo~. New logging information continues to log to the file specified by Log filename.
